Man charged with folding woman into couch

A 53-year-old man was arrested after he allegedly folded a 66-year-old female into a couch, according to the Palmetto Police Department.

Mark Foreman arrived at the victim’s home in the 1000 block of 12th Avenue West at about 9 p.m. on Tuesday and asked to use the bathroom. Foreman, who is the victim’s daughter’s ex-boyfriend, then asked the victim “What is this?” and pushed her onto a fold-out couch she had been sleeping on in the living room.



Foreman then folded the couch with the victim still inside. The victim was transported to Manatee Memorial Hospital with minor injuries to her wrist and back.

Foreman has been charged with battery of a person over 65 and was being held on $2,500 bond at the Manatee County jail.
