A Londonderry man who tried and failed at first to get himself arrested has been fined for disorderly behaviour.
Meryl Moore, who is 34, from Old City Court, went to the PSNI station at Strand Road in the city on 1 December and asked to be arrested. He started shouting and being abusive when a police officer on duty refused to allow him in to settle some money warrants.
Defence solicitor, Paddy McDermott said he had a "temporary loss of temper". Mr McDermott said Moore had been anxious to get the money warrants sorted and tried to get himself arrested, but had not succeeded in doing so.
District Judge, Barney McElholm, said Moore did "not normally have that problem". He fined him £150.
