Orphaned baby seal in Siberia rescued and taken in as pet

An orphaned baby seal has become a beloved pet for some villagers in Siberia. The seal was saved by a group of fishermen who spotted the tiny creature in a small bay.

It was clear that the seal wouldn't survive alone in the icy cold waters, so the fishermen rescued him and took him in.

The seal moved in to the home of a local doctor, where the creature quickly got used being fed and bathed.

The seal apparently got so used to humans that he probably couldn't survive in the wild. The doctor said he eventually plans to give the seal to a zoo.
