Stolen items returned to gallery after sarcastic video posted online

A Millcreek gallery has its artwork back.

Laurie Edwards, owner of Presque Isle Gallery and Coffeehouse, said three items stolen from her store on March 29 were found yesterday morning in a garbage bag someone placed outside the store.

Millcreek police confirmed the return of the items but said their investigation continues into identifying and apprehending the man who took them.

The store's surveillance cameras captured video of the man taking a stone pig pen holder, a piece of framed art and a wooden carved tiger as he walked around the gallery on the afternoon of March 29. Edwards posted the sarcastic video online, in an effort to help police capture the man.
