An Alachua County Sheriff's deputy met an ornery suspect when he answered a nuisance call. The nuisance was a seven-foot alligator in a residential neighbourhood.
The deputy's cruiser ended up 'grill to snout' with the gator which grabbed the vehicle's front bumper.

For a time, the reptile refused to let go. The deputy was forced to back up with the alligator in tow.
Eventually the gator let go and a licensed trapper caught him. The car sustained some damage, but no one was injured.
