A Utah man made an amazing discovery in the ceiling of the home he had just bought.
The Ferrin family had just moved into their new home when they found $45,000 stuffed in the ceiling.
They contacted relatives of the previous owner and returned the money. The family said they never even considered keeping the cash.

Nice story! It's so heartening to hear of such honesty.
Exactly. Finding a random money on the street is brilliant but if you find money (especially a large amount) and you can easily track down the owner, its only right to return it.
I know a fella that a few years ago was completely skint. He could hardly pay the rent and then he found a packet of money containing about €600 in the street. In the packet was a filled out deposit slip for the bank across the street. He had time so he went to the bank listed on the deposit slip, waited in the queue and deposited it for the owner.
Apparently the teller was completely confused and quizzed him to why someone would deposit money for a stranger that they could easily have just kept for themselves.
I'm not sure many people in that position would do the same thing, Steve.
I can understand the bank cashier being confused.
