I wonder why Internet addiction is such a huge problem in China. I mean, the Internet is ubiquitous... but China seems to have worse problems than most.

Very sad story that father is a real A-hole no wonder we have so much repeated child abuse .
Was the child on his own after school and before the father got home? Or in the care of relatives. Either way, there are better ways to discipline a child than beating them and dragging them bound and naked through the streets.
Child abuse should not be a form of punishment.
The father doesn't want his son to be ruined by the web, he wants to do it himself.
