It's soft, hygienic, and indispensable, but dangerous and defective? That's not something you would usually label toilet paper, but it is exactly what the University of Colorado calls it.
The University has filed a lawsuit against two companies that made and supplied the campus with toilet paper. "My first thoughts are, how is it defective? What's wrong with the toilet paper that caused them to sue?" questioned CU senior Connor Fleming.
CU noticed the problem starting in May 2009. After using the toilet paper for two years, the toilets were bubbling and flooding in 27 academic and research buildings. In the lawsuit, CU claims the toilet paper failed to disperse properly and caused the toilets and sewer lines at the school to become clogged.
CU filed eight claims against Royal Paper, which manufactured the toilet paper, and Waxie which supplied it. Those claims include negligence, breach of contract and breach of implied warranty. It seeks more than $40,000 to recoup cost of repairs, including inconvenience and hassle.

Obviously the school is "flush" with emotion. I hope the court can "wipe" away their angst.
Arf!
Well, if the paper is waxie, no wonder it doesn't disperse properly.
