Firefighters called to remove ring stuck on Australian man’s penis

Emergency Services were called to Werribee to cut a ring off a distressed man's penis overnight.

One fire truck attended the Werribee Mercy Hospital to remove the metal ring from the man's appendage at 2.30am.

Several emergency services sources said these types of call outs were common. MFB commander Peter Egan warned people to be more careful.

"Washers on penises and rings stuck on penises we get once or twice a year,'' he said. "In my 39 years I have seen about half a dozen of them. People do stupid things.''
