Gorilla makes home video of himself

A 27 year-old silverback gorilla films himself with a high-definition video camera at the Durrell Wildlife Trust in Jersey.

The gorilla called Ya Kwanza shot some amusing close-ups of himself using a camera built into a feeding device.

The footage shows the gorilla investigating the gadget and meticulously picking out raisins and eating them.

When his keeper asks for the 'camera feeder' back, Ya Kwanza obediently throws the box back out of his enclosure. The feeding devices are regularly used to stimulate animal by making it work for its food but to get the footage the feeder was fitted with a small built-in camera.
