Suspected brothel boarded up after residents complain about "dwarf" banging his head on window for entrance

A suspected Liverpool brothel was closed down a woman evicted after a catalogue of residents' complaints including the disturbance caused by one visitor who they said was a dwarf banging his head on a window in order to let those inside know he was there.

Residents also claimed the woman's house was used for drug taking. Liverpool magistrates considered a dossier of evidence obtained from people living near the house in Halsbury Road, Kensington.

They said they had endured three years of misery ever since Margaret Muldoon, known as “Margi”, moved in and started using her home for prostitution and drink and drugs with up to 40 callers a day. Residents reported local people being approached in the street and being offered services of a sexual nature.

People shouting through the letterbox and kicking on doors, including a man, described as a dwarf, who would “headbutt” the front bay window to attract the attention of those inside. On one occasion, he also dropped his trousers and urinated on the front doorstep.
