Mistake on council sign tells public to use toilet in man's flat

A Petts Wood man wasn't thrilled when a Bromley Council sign told the public they could use his home as a toilet.

When the council closed the public toilets in Station Square, Petts Wood, they put up signs there listing four nearby businesses which are opening their lavatories to non customers.

However, one of the signs says one of the businesses, Cafe Maz, is at 2a Station Square, which is actually the flat above the eaterie, leaving the man who lives there furious.

Fortunately the council were alerted to the mistake before anyone came knocking on his door to use the toilet. The sign has since been corrected, with Tipp-Ex used to turn the 2a into a 2 - the correct address of Cafe Maz.
