Puppy rescued after getting stuck in car engine

A puppy who was rescued from the engine of a car is in recovery and will soon go up for adoption.

A family called the Arizona Humane Society after discovering a Chinese Shar-Pei puppy stuck in their engine. They checked the engine after hearing funny noises on the way to the store.

The family was able to free the dog, but she was covered in oil, and had wounds and burns to her belly.

Emergency medical technicians rushed "Scarlet" to the animal hospital and she underwent surgery and treatment. Scarlet is currently in foster care and is expected to be recovered enough to go up for adoption in two weeks.
