Firefighters rescue trapped yak from collapsed house after earthquake

Firefighters in Tibet have rescued a 450kg yak in southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region after it was trapped under a collapsed house for 45 hours.

A strong earthquake that hit the state of Sikkim in northern India on September 18 - rippling through China - was the cause for the fallen structure.

Firefighters worked tirelessly to clear logs and rocks off the trapped animal. The yak, named Tsa Kyi, was in great pain after it was rescued as its neck was sprained by the fallen logs and rocks.
