The Dorset-based Saturday division five team are sponsored by Koolpak, which supplied the club with the child-friendly ice packs and bandages after a shortage of its adult range meant that the team would be running low on the vital medical kit. Koolpak managing director Martyn Bright said: ‘The children’s products work just as well as the adult ones.’

'We had plenty of stock of these and were waiting on a delivery of the adult and sport ranges. In order to stop Broadstone from not having any ice packs, we sent them a selection from the children's range, we did not realise it would create such a fuss. The main thing is that the players are getting treated in the right way, not matter how silly they look.'
Broadstone's star striker Luke Gee said he feels like he's being treated by the school dinner lady whenever he cops a bump. 'I got a knock on my head last week and got a black eye. I came round looking like a dinner lady in the school playground had looked after me,' he said. 'The defender was making fun of me for the rest of the game, and it was the first time my girlfriend had seen me play.'
