I don't get the view that a lack of government would be better than the ones we have. Here in the US our postal service is on the brink of shutting down. Things like that make you stop taking for granted the services your government provides. People need law, services, defense, etc and those wouldn't exist without central governments. They do suck, but they're far better than anarchy would be. It's childish, or adolescent at best, to think otherwise.
Just for a change, I have no idea where this is, Anonymous.
Blitherypoop, you're most probably right.
I do, however, find it sad that most elected members currently in the UK coalition government are multi-millionaires, with very privileged backgrounds. Some have more humble backgrounds, but are still multi-millionaires.
And they understand what it's like to live in the 'real world'?
Obviously anarchy isn't the answer, but really, when people who have no understanding of the masses are in control, there are going to be problems. And I think they've only just started
Voting for politicians (psychopathic sociopaths), is for fools. The only people who need our support, are the local Judges, sheriff, constable, undertaker, and your local militia--all under the 'rule of law' of course. All the State and Federal politicians can, putting it politely, go take a hike!
blitherypoop, I just want to add that: The Post Office is in dire straits because of government, and our economy is also in dire straits because of government. I could go on and on about how our government has made a complete mess of most EVERYTHING it has ever touched, almost without exception!
Question: If PROgress means moving forward, what does CONgress mean?

This is from a parking lot in Guelph, Ontario (where I live). I am amused to see this here.

Anyway, I didn't vote for any of them.

No, the sign makes total sense.
