Polish farmer saves four-legged duck from the dinner table

Farmer Krzystof Makles has created a flap - after he adopted a four-legged duck born in his hatchery to save him from the dinner table.



Krzystof, 42 - from Swiecie, Poland - is just quackers about his new pal who now follows him all round the farm.

"We found him among a load of other newborn chicks and to be honest I thought he would die bit he got stronger and pulled through and I admired his guts," he explained.



"But three months later he's really grown and even though a four legged duck would be a huge seller for a butcher, there's no way I could let him end up in an oven now - he's a family pet," added Krzystof.
