Abandoned poodles receive care after being found in park

Two neglected poodles are in the care of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals after they were found on Saturday in Sunset Park, Rocky Mount, North Carolina.

Police said officers were called after someone found two stray dogs in poor health.

The dogs were picked up and transferred to the SPCA Alliance, where the dogs were cared for and bathed. Officials estimated the dogs – nicknamed Marley and Charley by rescue workers – are between 2 and 3 years old.

Possible adoption of the dogs will be handled by the SPCA. The owners of the dogs are unknown.
