The man was confronted by the animal when he came out of his bedroom. He was among four people who were mauled as attempts were made to trap the leopard – though all survived.
The beast was eventually shut in the house in Guwahati, north-east India, by a rickshaw driver. Witness Nipu Das said: “We were shocked to find the leopard inside the house and soon the cat started attacking.” The animal was tranquilised by forestry officials and taken to Assam State Zoo.
Animal experts believe it may have strayed into the city in search of food. Large areas of the previously dense jungle covering the hills surrounding Guwahati have been cleared for housing. This has led to an increase in attacks by wild animals as they lose their habitat and their food sources.

I laughed at the second picture at first because I thought it was a toupee... now I feel bad seeing as it was is scalp.
As I do of course feel sorry for this guy, it`s not the animal`s fault and it baffles me when humans drive animals out of their habitats and are then shocked when they roam into the city and attack people. Overpopulation is a scary thing, and if we keep taking their land then there will be more and more encounters like this. Kudos to them for not killing the leopard.
I was thrilled to read that the authorities did not just kill the leopard! I feel bad for the victims, but I feel just as sorry for the leopard.
