Man steals teenager's pantyhose to fix car

According to Westlake Police, what happened on Friday night in the Union Street Parking Garage at Crocker Park was a first.

"A 16-year-old girl was going back to her car and was accosted by a male. He came up behind her and demanded that she give him her pantyhose," said Captain Guy Turner.

Police said the man, in his 20s, demanded the girl's pantyhose so he could supposedly fix his car's exhaust system.

But once he got his hands on her hose, he took off.

And that's why I stopped wearing pantyhose.

Nothing to do with exhaust systems, but there is a classic emergency repair using hosiery as a replacement for a broken drive belt.
