Australian lady goes all sweary after being told she'd won $10,000 live on air

A Victorian mother says she's not embarrassed to have dropped an F-bomb live on national TV after winning $10,000 on Sunrise. Hosts David Koch and Mel Doyle were left stunned when Jae Grumley, 20, answered "Are you f---ing serious?” when asked if she would like $10,000.Laughter could be heard from the studio as the shocked presenters salvaged the segment.

“Well probably not the words we would use but we are very serious,” Mel said. “And if anyone was wondering if we’re live or not, we’re live.” Ms Grumley said she entered the competition a few days ago and had forgotten about it before this morning. When the phone rang just after 7.30am she had no idea it would be Sunrise and almost didn't answer it.

“I was really not going to answer it because I forgot I had entered and I thought it would be telemarketers,” Ms Grumley said. She thought it was an automatic recording when the voice down the line asked if she would like $10,000. The phone dropped out after she swore and she had to check the TV to see if it was real.

“I just turned the channel over and then they were talking about someone dropping the F-bomb and I assumed that was me," she said. “A couple of my friends (saw it) and they rang me straight away and were screaming and yelling and were so excited, it just doesn’t often happen to someone you know.” She said wasn’t embarrassed after swearing on national TV and said it was a pretty normal reaction. “I don’t feel silly for dropping the F-bomb at all I think it was just a bit of a shock reaction and they probably should expect that from a surprise like that."
