Ed Miliband got himself into hot water on Friday during a speech to the party's Youth Conference on Jobs at Warwick University.
Taking questions from the audience, the Labour leader became confused over the gender of one delegate.

"There's a gentleman, a lady, sorry, just in the scarf," he said, pointing to a man with his hand up.
He continued to stumble, saying: "Is that a lady? Is that a lady at the back? Or is it a man? Oh right, well seeing as I've seen you anyway, I'll let you ask the question."
