Happy man arrested twice in one day

An 18-year-old Conneticut man was arrested twice on Saturday after police said he was first caught stealing rain gutters and downspouts from his neighbour's yard, then did the same with copper piping at a vacant residence on Main Street.

Robert Authelet, 18, of 433 North Main St., was charged with third-degree burglary and two counts each of sixth-degree larceny and third-degree criminal mischief. He is scheduled to appear at Superior Court in Danielson on May 7.
