Man faces 'dumping' charges

A man who has allegedly been defecating in his neighbours' yards faces criminal charges of littering in connection with a February incident.

Kelly James Ervin, of Devonshire Drive in Salisbury, Maryland, faces a single charge of littering or dumping under 100 pounds. This follows an investigation by the Wicomico Bureau of Investigation after numerous complaints from people in the Deer Harbour and Elk Creek area.

Neighbours say they have found human waste in front yards, near the street, and even in the entryway to Elk Creek. "Three of my friends, we walk every morning and we started seeing it. It's been a couple years now," Terry Webster of Salisbury said. "The toilet paper, the toilet paper was the key."

Ervin told investigators that he goes running nearly every morning around 4 a.m. Charging documents read that, "After running approximately two miles [Ervin] advised that he has to have a bowel movement and bring toilet paper with him on his run [... and] that he defecates wherever his two mile mark is." Ervin faces the littering charge for a February incident, in which a surveillance camera caught Ervin allegedly defecating in a driveway during the afternoon.

Sick man. If his story was true, he could have run a route that would place him back to his house at the 2 mile mark. He has a fetish, or something. Duh.

Forget the story. Is that an armoured toilet in the photograph?
