Chinese bus driver saves passengers despite being hit by flying piece of metal

A Chinese bus driver has given his life to save his passengers, after he was hit by a flying object on a motorway.

Wu Bin, 48, was hit in the arms and the abdomen by a flying piece of metal that smashed through his windscreen.

He managed to bring the bus to a stop despite his injuries.

He then put the hazard lights on, and was able to tell the passengers not to run around while the bus was still on the highway. He was taken to hospital but died of his injuries four days later.

If he had not been in the overtaking lane, blocking other vehicles, he would still be alive today.
Obey the rule that says keep right; in countries that drive on the wrong side of the road, keep left; in normal countries.
That may sound insensitive but many "accidents" are caused by people not obeying the road rules, and, when I get my machine gun permit, those people who fail to keep left on the motorway and block me from passing them will be strafed.

The comment above does not just 'sound' insensitive...it really is, what a jerk.
The driver did a great job in an unavoidable accident. Chunks of metal flying through the air are random. He pulled the bus over safely and cared about his passengers. It's too bad that he died.

Agreed with above anonymous - heartless and unnecessarily aggressive comment. His position on the motorway is pretty much irrelevant. Congrats to him for maintaining control of his vehicle, and condolences to the family.
