Papa Smurf says he was too drunk to remember trespass warning

Papa Smurf has been arrested. It happened on June 14 at Downtown Destin Plaza. An Okaloosa County Sheriff's deputy recognized the man who goes by the name Papa Smurf "on sight through my many dealings with him," the deputy wrote in his arrest report.

The deputy also knew Papa Smurf had been issued a trespass warning for the entire complex.



The deputy approached Mr. Smurf and advised him of his rights, which Mr. Smurf waived. He explained to the deputy he was too drunk to remember a trespass warning for the complex.

He was charged with misdemeanor trespassing. His court date is July 3.
