World's greatest 'gurner' offers £10,000 reward to anyone who can twist their face up more than him

Tang Shuquan can be thankful this isn’t his real face but instead the result of a remarkable contortion ability which has landed the 43-year-old a Guinness World Record for the most twisted face.



Shuquan, from Chengdu City, Sichuan province, China, has spent seven years perfecting his "gurn" — the craft of distorting one’s face as much as humanly possible.

That hard work finally paid off when he took part in an Italian Guinness World Record TV show in March and yesterday was awarded more than $10,000 in prize money and a coveted Guinness medal.

Now Shuquan has put the call out to any fellow gurners, offering a 100,000 yuan (£10,000, $15,000) reward to anyone who can twist, turn or screw their face up more than him.
