In college, I had a friend with a break-the-mold sense of humor. I accompanied him once to an optometrists, to pick up his new glasses, and upon exiting the examining room (with his new glasses on), he pipes up, for all the rest of the patients in the waiting room to hear, "Oh, doctor! This is wonderful! I can hear! I can hear!"
