Lovestruck Jordan Cotton had his girlfriend’s name tattooed on his neck just before they split up. Then, after she dumped him, he went back to have a line inked through it, along with the words, “Shit happens”. But his ex was less than pleased when she saw the result.
And Jordan, 21, ended up in court for smashing 17-year-old Olivia Nuttall’s BlackBerry phone in a blazing row. Imran Hussain, defending, told magistrates that Jordan was full of remorse. He said: “In the fairytale stage of the romance he had her name tattooed on his neck. She wasn’t very happy when she saw the edited version, just two weeks after they split.
“This caused a row during which he grabbed her phone and threw it against a wall. He accepts the relationship is over and doesn’t intend to have any further contact with this lady – or any more tattoos.” The court heard Jordan regretted the first tattoo, but was pleased with the alteration.
Jordan, from Blackburn, Lancashire, admitted damaging the phone. He was given a conditional discharge and ordered to pay £150 compensation. Afterwards Olivia claimed she never wanted Jordan to have the neck tattoo. She said: “He said that he loved me and I told him, ‘Well, it’s up to you’.” And she also revealed that she has his name engraved on her arm. Olivia says she plans to have it covered up with a new design – done tastefully.

This reminds me of the Norman Rockwell painting.
Ask any tattoo artist, never get a lovers name on you, its a curse.
