Woman repeatedly called 911 complaining male neighbour is in love with her husband

A 47-year-old intoxicated woman who called 911 multiple times complaining her male neighbour is in love with her husband was arrested on Saturday after she refused to listen to police when they told her to stop reporting the matter to emergency personnel.

The incident occurred just before 6 p.m. in the 2000 block of South Church Street, according to a Murfreesboro Police Department arrest report. “(The woman) called due to her male neighbour bothering her and being in love with her husband,” Officer Michael Rickard reported.

“This was the second time I had responded to this address today in reference to the same situation. I again explained to (the woman) that she could not call 9-1-1 in a non-emergency situation.” As he was leaving the residence, dispatch informed Rickard that the woman had called 911 again “talking about someone in her apartment being rude,” according to the report.

“I made contact with (the woman) and placed her under arrest,” Rickard reported, adding the woman appeared to be intoxicated. The woman was then transported and booked into the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center. She has since been charged with unlawful use of 911.
