I'm struggling with quite a badly cut hand

And unfortunately my other hand just isn't dexterous enough. Well it is, but performing the most simple tasks seem to take forever.

Hopefully things will improve after I manage to get hold of some proper painkillers later today.

Normal service will resume as soon as etc.

You're the one who cut his hand on a metal fastener that had resulted in the NHS banning them, aren't you? :)

Thank you for your kind words.

I had an unfortunate altercation with a razor-sharp edge on the bottom casing of my fridge freezer as I tried to turn one of the adjustable feet while trying level it.

I know not exactly how, but somehow or other I managed to slash myself right across the palm of my hand.

With regards to photographic evidence, just be thankful that I don't own a camera. It isn't a pretty sight.

Anyway, my mouse-operating hand is now well padded and a semblance of normal service will resume at 6am tomorrow, UK time.

Keep an eye on it. Accidentally stuck myself in the hand once with an ice pick. Thought it was no bigger. Ended up in ER just in time as it was starting into blood poisoning.Take care and best to you.

Hand injuries can be weird--hope you get over yours soon. I recently bent down to pull up a weed and didn't notice a dried holly leaf (mainly because the holly bush is on the far side of the lot). Stabbed myself in the thumb on one of its spikes--not in the meat of the thumb, or in the second segment, but EXACTLY in between the segments, at the joint. Drew blood and must've jangled the nerve, as it hurt like hell for two days and now, three weeks later, the thumb;a only beginning to start to feel normal.

Re: the sharp fridge area: I caught some of that once when cleaning out a gas oven. I went to the store, got some 60-100 grade sandpaper and smoothed those sharp edges out.

And it's only been in the last few years that manufacturers have FINALLY gotten rid of the sharp edges from window a/c units--I used to cut myself regularly putting the units in during the cooling season and taking them out during the heating season.

Ah well. Take that Vicodin, sit back and watch a bit of telly.
