Aquabiking woman attacked by octopus

A woman taking part in an aquabike lesson in Beaulieu-sur-Mer, near Nice, France, had a nasty surprise when she was attacked by an octopus.

While taking part in a class of the newest fitness fad, aquabiking, in the sea, the woman felt something around her legs.

The octopus, which was reportedly "not small", then wrapped its tentacles around the woman’s legs, preventing her from continuing with the class.

It is thought the octopus was attracted to the woman cycling because of the movement of the water.
