Cyclist captures vicious magpie attack on camera

Glen Nilsen is attacked by this magpie in Ransome, a suburb of  Brisbane, Australia,  up to four times a week and has been forced to strap on ear muffs to thwart its repeated pecks on his commute.



Recently he strapped a camera onto the handlebars of his pushbike to capture the persistent and savage attacks from the magpie who occupies the area at the intersection of Rickerrt and Chelsea Rds.

"He always goes for the top of your ear,'' Glen said. "He has an area 100m long where he will attack you. I've tried carrying sticks but he still comes at you ... I had to put on ear muffs to stop him.''
