Dentist creates musical drill to help ease patients' fears

Dhanni Gustiana, a dental surgeon from Purworejo in Central Java, has modified a conventional dental drill by changing the buzzing sound to the music from a MP3 player.

"The children are not afraid of doctor, many of them are afraid of drill. I modified this by putting a toy on the head of the drill and telling them that the toy will clean their teeth," said Gustiana.

He spent about six million rupiah (£370, $600) modifying the instrument, which gives his patients the option to request their own songs.

WHY IS SHE SHOUTING? AND WHO TOLD HER SHE HAS A VOICE SUITED TO VOICE-OVER WORK? TRACK HIM DOWN AND FORCE HIM TO LISTEN TO RECORDINGS OF NAILS BEING DRAGGED DOWN BLACKBOARDS. HE MIGHT THEN UNDERSTAND EXACTLY WHAT HE'S INFLICTED ON THE WORLD.
