An eight-month-old elephant calf was rescued from a well by members of the Amboseli Trust for Elephants in Kenya last week. The calf was later reunited with her mother.
Exceedingly fantastic. I'm a soft touch for this kind of humanity, because it is so rare. Elephants are such great role models, whose exemplar who we keep ignoring, at our own defecit. --A.
