Someone apparently stole $1,090 from an aluminum foil-wrapped bank envelope that was sandwiched between cookie sheets with old biscuits on top and left in an oven. But they left a jar of salsa.
That's what a 75-year-old woman told Martin County Sheriff's deputies she discovered after returning from an "Indian Pow Wow" to her Hobe Sound apartment, a recently released sheriff's report states. She had $3,040 in the aluminum foil-wrapped bank envelope that was sandwiched between cookie sheets with old biscuits on top and left in an oven.
She said $1,090 - nine $100 bills, three $50 bills and two $20 bills - were missing. She insisted the alleged nefarious ne'er do-well rearranged the bills, returning them to the aluminum foil-wrapped bank envelope that was sandwiched between cookie sheets with old biscuits on top and left in an oven.
Investigators found no signs of forced entry, and the woman said no one knows she keeps the money that way. In addition to the cash, the woman said three jars of pizza sauce, a red suede down full length vest and three pairs of jogging pants were taken. "(She) pointed out a jar of salsa by the front door and said they left that for her," the report states.

I was disappointed the third paragraph didn't state where the money was. Do you think it might've been in an aluminum foil-wrapped bank envelope that was sandwiched between cookie sheets with old biscuits on top and left in an oven?
Heh heh, I resisted that temptation.
I think it probably was though.
Damn, now I have to find a new place to stash my cash.
I live in Martin County. Hobe Sound is filled with crack heads. Ten bucks she DOES know who did it....
