Box of chicken, pillow, glass jar and tyre iron used as weapons in fight over peach soda

A Dallas man was arrested early on Wednesday after he and a woman came to blows over a peach soda. By the end of the argument, a glass jar, a tyre iron, a pillow and a box of chicken were all used as weapons, according to a police report.

Diamond Lydia, 18, is being held on a charge of aggravated assault in the fight at an apartment. Soon after the argument over the Big Peach soda began, the 24-year-old victim went to her room. Lydia followed and threw a box of chicken at her. After that, a witness told police, Lydia started hitting the woman on the head with a pillow from the bed and then climbed on top of her, punching her multiple times.

The victim grabbed a glass jar from her dresser and hit him on the head, shattering glass everywhere. The witness told Lydia to go downstairs, but as he left he grabbed a tyre iron and yelled, “I’m going to kill you!” Police say the witness grabbed Lydia as he tried to swing the tyre iron at the victim, and she was not hit.

Officers arrived soon after and questioned all those involved. Both Lydia and the woman were treated at the scene for their injuries. The relationship between the victim and Lydia is unknown, said Senior Cpl. Sherri Jeffrey, but it’s possible they live together in the apartment.

The fight started because the peach soda was supposed to be grape soda. ;)
