A sightseer has captured bizarre footage on a Sunshine Coast beach of a car emerging from foam caused by ex-tropical cyclone Oswald. The footage catches two police officers jumping to safety after a car emerges from under a blanket of foam.
Sunshine Coast man Michael Bell said he had taken his sister down to the foreshore to see the foam phenomenon when the car appeared. "I'd been through there about an hour before and took my sister down to have a look," he said.

"It was unbelievable. We walked down there just as they were closing the road. That car was probably parked under the foam and they'd had to drive it out."Mr Bell said two police officers were standing on the road, helping to close it down, as a bus approached.
We just thought the bus was pushing a wave of foam – we didn't even know the car was there," he said. "It was a shock to everyone. Luckily the police officers managed to get out of the way. I showed the footage to the two officers and the one who pushed the other out of the way thought he was pretty famous."
