Man accused of choking girlfriend with his dreadlock-style hair

A man allegedly used his long tresses to choke his girlfriend, who told police that her boyfriend assaulted her and choked her with his hair, during an assault in a Southeast Portland, Oregon home on Monday.

Officers were called about 2:30 am, to the 3200 block of Southeast 22nd Avenue and later found 32-year-old Caleb Grotberg based on his girlfriend's description, which included that he has long, thick hair that looks like dreadlocks.

The woman was taken to a hospital in the area with several non-life threatening injuries. Her condition and identity have not been released.
