Thief dressed as Burglar Bill caught on CCTV

A thief  who is a dead ringer for children's cartoon character Burglar Bill was caught on CCTV.

He was caught on camera wearing a dark blue striped shirt and black hat, albeit minus Burglar Bill’s trusty mask, as he broke into a Waitrose store in Southend, Essex, and made off with two cameras and Xbox controllers.



A member of staff at Waitrose said: “It is quite comical to see the similarity between this guy and Burglar Bill.

“You would have thought he would wear something less conspicuous when breaking into the store.”
