Disappointment over possibly carcinogenic dead mens shoes purchased for police officers

Police chiefs in Bosnia-Herzegovina have spent £70,000 buying 1,300 pairs of new shoes and boots for their officers from an outfitters that only supplies footwear for bodies to wear in coffins.

Officers complained that the shoes, never meant to be walked in, fell apart after just a few hours on the beat in Sarajevo.

Police union spokesman Nedžib Đozo said: "These shoes are disposable, they are for people to be buried in. We suspect that the goods were imported from China, and are possibly carcinogenic."

"This sort of cheap, thoughtless cost-cutting has a very serious effect on the police service our members can deliver," he added.

Truth is indeed stranger than fiction. Not even a novelist could dream up something so bizarre!. . .

I can't imagine being on a date and having her ask me what I do for a living.

'I make shoes for dead people'.

Disappointment is one of the worst things that could happen. Few years ago I was really disappointed in education and only after reading these advices I was inspired to study.
