Hitchhiker with hatchet saved woman from attack by man claiming to be Jesus Christ

Investigators say at around 2 pm on Friday, a 55-year old man crashed into three Pacific Gas & Electric employees who were working in Fresno, California. “It was an intentional act. It appears to be at this point,” said Sgt. Mike Severson of the Fresno Co. Sheriff’s Dept. People nearby ran over to help the man who was pinned between the car and truck.

According to witnesses, the driver then flipped out. “He was yelling he was Jesus Christ and he tried to pull the PG&E guy who was stuck in between the cars, but he was still stuck,” said Gloria Rios, a witness. Tonya Baker tried to get the suspect to calm down. Then suddenly, she was being attacked. “The guy came after me and put me in a bear hug and started hitting on me. For what reason, I don't know,” said Ms Baker.

The situation grew even stranger when a homeless hitchhiker, known only as Kai, who was in the passenger seat of the suspect's car, tried to pry the man off Baker. The task was too tough, so he resorted to using a hatchet to knock out the suspect. “He was hitting him in the back of the head with a hatchet thinking he's helping and there was blood everywhere,” said Rios.

Investigators are not sure what provoked the man to purposely crash his car. “He’s being evaluated for drugs and alcohol,” said Sgt. Severson. Kai, the homeless man with the hatchet was not hurt and is not facing any criminal charges. Meanwhile, the driver accused of smashing into the workers is in the hospital. Once released, he’ll be taken to jail.

Its strange that if a crazy person calls himself Jesus then religion is seen as bad.
lucky he didnt call himself a Doctor or otherwise we would be turning against medicine

Religion is "bad" because religion is a lie. There is no evidence whatsoever to support the supernatural claims made by any religion. I contend that you'd have to be very crazy indeed to believe a word of the nonsense written in the so-called "holy" books upon which religions are based, considering that the authors were savage, uncivilised, ignorant, Bronze Age goatherds.

I wouldn't say this is your brain on religion. The man who called himself Jesus, I would imagine its either substance abuse or even mental illness.
