Three arrested after potato shot through wall of house

Police arrested three people, and are looking fourth, they say shot a potato through the wall of an occupied home in York County, Pennsylvania early on Tuesday morning.



Northern York County Regional Police officers were dispatched to the home in Dover Township just after midnight for a report that a projectile had been shot into the home. Officers found that a potato went through the wall at the front of the house and went into a room were two adults and their 2-month-old child were in.

No one was injured. Officers went to a local grocery store and discovered that two people bought two five-pound bags of potatoes late on Monday night. An officer recognized one of the men and the other was identified by a witness.



Officers located and arrested Cody James Cosgrove, 19, Dakota Falkenroth, 18, and John Whitecomb, 18. Each are charged with aggravated assault, discharge of a firearm into an occupied structure, criminal conspiracy, recklessly endangerment, simple assault and criminal mischief. The arrest of a fourth person is pending.
