Witness in tree corroborates story that man on bicycle was asaulted

A 24-year-old man told police in Niceville, Florida  he was pulled from his bicycle and beaten by three males. A witness who was up in a tree corroborated part of the man’s story.

At 6:49pm a Niceville Police officer responded to an address to check out a report of a suspicious person. When the officer arrived he encountered the man, who said he was riding his bike to the store when three men pulled him off his bike and “jumped” him.



 He was able to escape and ran to a house across the street and asked the resident to call 911. He told the officer he was hit in the mouth and beaten in the back of the head and neck. He also said the attack was witnessed by another person.

The witness told the officer he was up in a tree when he heard the alleged victim scream for help. He went out to the road and saw the man’s bike lying by mailboxes, and somebody grabbing the man. Then, three people ran away.
