Gay couple walking pink poodle attacked by man with wrench

Police in Hillsboro, Oregon, say two men were walking a pink poodle when a stranger reportedly pulled a U-turn, jumped out of his vehicle and hit one of them on the head with a wrench.

Investigators are working to determine whether the incident, which occurred on March 1, could be a hate crime because the attacker reportedly shouted homophobic slurs.

Police spokesman Mike Rouches said the assault victim, 26-year-old David Beltier, suffered a bump to the back of his head but did not require medical treatment.

Police arrested George Allen Mason Jr., 22, early on March 2 after finding a vehicle that matched the description provided by the victim. Mason faces charges of intimidation, assault, unlawful use of a weapon and reckless driving.

I have no problem with the fact that they're gay, but dyeing a poodle pink definitely deserves a whack to the head with a wrench.

Good point about dyeing the dog, but I maybe wouldn't go as far as condoning a whack on the head with a wrench....!

That first commenter deserves a whack to the back of his head with a block buster if he thinks it's ok to hit someone with a wrench for having a pink poodle.Same logic.
