Man threw mud at neighbour because she overwatered her lawn

A 30-year-old Volusia County man was arrested on suspicion of throwing mud at his neighbour because she overwatered her lawn, causing water to pool in his yard and driveway.

Kenneth Klugh faces charges of battery on a person over the age of 65 in the attack, which occurred Sunday near Ormond Beach, Florida.

According to the Volusia County Sheriff's Office, Klugh began arguing with his neighbour before scooping up some mud with a shovel and throwing it at her vehicle. He then threw a scoop of mud at her, striking her with it, deputies said.

"He threw dirt and some of it went - I've got glasses on - but I've got some in my eye. I've got to go wash it out," the woman said. "My car is literally - on the side of it, the deputy will see when he comes here - plastered with dirt and rocks." The woman was not seriously injured.
