US insurance company Geico's latest ad has been slammed by a mothers group for allegedly promoting bestiality by showing a woman and a pig in a car.
YouTube link.
In the ad, a woman appears to be on a date with a pig in a car and appears to flirt with it.
A group of conservative Christian women in the US collectively called One Million Moms have launched a campaign against Geico, alleging that the company's new commercial "plays with the idea of bestiality".

Next time, instead of a pig, use a block of wood. It gets the idea across, and the sensitive people would have less to say abt it.
Heh heh, good idea, Elena!
The advert is actually sexist as it's portraying men as pigs. That's what these women should be complaining about (I presume at least some of them have sons and brothers, husbands and fathers and want the decent men in their lives to be treated with respect?). But no, as per usual with christians it's all about teh sex, even when there's none involved.
Minds like sewers, every one of them.
Speaking from marketing, the pig character was obnoxious and stupid from the day he was introduced getting a ride home from school and the annoying "wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee." Apparently, Geico wanted that stupid character--really sub-par for their marketing level. Seems they're even running out of ideas for the Gecko--the "out-takes" ad is also incredibly stupid and annoying. The pig on the date ad is just gross and a stupid idea. Bring back the cavemen!
The controversy over this ad is overblown, but I will admit to getting a creepy feel from the ad. That said, the pig is nothing but a gentleman, as portrayed.

"One Million Moms" is offensive to me in that they over estimate their membership by about 900,000. It's hard to keep track of your count when everything reminds you of sex.
I love this commercial and all the other pig ads! I love the gecko, also. Old Geezer is correct about them overestimating their membership! These women have no sense of humor and their minds are in the gutter. When the ad runs, the last thing I've ever thought of was bestiality. Geez!! Get a life!!
For fifteen years already, there's been a newspaper comic strip called Viivi & Wagner that is very popular in Finland. Viivi is a pretty typical Finnish woman, Wagner is an anthropomorphic pig. They live together in a loving if often not very romantic relationship, encountering the ups, downs and absurdities of relationships and the differences between men and women. No one thinks it's about beastiality. Finns are clearly all pervets.
