Tim’s Place is the world’s friendliest restaurant

Tim Harris is the only man in the US with Down's Syndrome who owns his own restaurant. Despite having to wake up at 5.30 am to get to work, Tim loves his job so much that he has a dance outside in the parking lot before he goes in because he's so happy



His restaurant, Tim’s Place,in Albuquerque, New Mexico, promises “Breakfast, Lunch and Hugs” as well as being the “World's Friendliest Restaurant” and it delivers on both fronts.

26-year-old Tim had wanted to own a restaurant since he was a child, and with the help of his dad, he was able to realise his dream.

Despite all the obstacles that seem to have been in his way, Tim never doubted. As his own brother says, “what's he's accomplished in his lifetime, [some] people can only dream of”.
