Woman drank bottle of tadpoles at airport in attempt to sneak them onto plane

Chinese airport officials made an unusual discovery after a South Korean woman tried to smuggle tadpoles through security in her mouth.

The woman was stopped at Guangzhou International Airport at the weekend when security found a bottle of liquid in her bag. Following international flight rules, the guards told the woman to drink the liquid or throw it away.



In a bizarre move, the woman decided to drink the liquid in one mouthful, filled with tadpoles. Security however realised she had not swallowed the liquid and demanded she open her mouth and spit into a bucket.

When confronted about the ordeal, the woman explained that her friend had given her the tadpoles and she did not want to lose them. The tadpoles were subsequently confiscated.
