When I was in Paris a few years ago, wandering around Montmartre by myself as my bf napped. I came across a very friendly and vocal cat on a doorstep begging to be let in. I stopped to pet him and I tried the door but it was locked, with one of those number combination locks. Kevin just meowed and pawed at the door so wanting to be let inside.
I checked his collar to see if he had a phone number I could call to tell them to let their cat in (this is how I know his name was Kevin) and instead of a phone number there was a 5-digit number.
I thought it couldn't be the code to the door... but why else would it be a 5 digit number? So I punched in the 5 numbers to combo-lock door, it clicked open and I let him inside.

Thanks for letting me know.
I've now posted a copy of the original.

Smart cat, trusting owner. :)
Heh heh! :)
I've never heard of anything like that before.
A French cat named Kevin. ;)
